World Down Syndrome Day is 3-21
“I love holidays that say what they are!” – My husband.
This year I am excited to be a part of the education and advocacy activities surrounding World Down Syndrome Day.
Woohoo!
Rule #1 in writing and presenting is: “Share what you know.”
So I’m talking about – talking about – Down syndrome!
Stephanie and The Road We’ve Shared asked me to join her in presenting at the 321 econference. The presentation is a combined forces endeavor about social networking, blogging, and advocating on-line.

Three Mom-Bloggers of adult children with Down syndrome discuss the pros and cons of sharing personal stories via social media. What are the risks? What is there to gain? If you have an interest in spreading awareness and sharing resources, but need the tips on how to get started, how to contribute, and how to grow your own online influence, start here. These three moms were brought together via on-line networking and, in fact, have begun a new, specific community that encourages support, discussion and stories. Are you ready to share yours?

There are a variety of sessions being offered at $21 per day via this Inaugural eConference.
Isn’t technology neat? Two years ago I watched the UN’s World Down Syndrome Day via web-cam and this year I will be both learning and connecting from my humble home office. Will I see you virtually?
