Getting the Advocate Message

Marcus and I spoke together at a conference yesterday. The focus of the association and its mission is

to promote, find or create, then continue supported and meaningful employment for people with disabilities. Their theme: “Mission Possible.”

As advocates and self-advocates, our stories are powerful. Let’s explore ways self-advocates around the world share their personal stories and how we can all amplify these messages of ability. Also, the Sikora’s will present you a beginner’s guide to supporting the self-advocates in your life by better amplifying their voice.

In this session, the Sikora’s share the pillars to good storytelling. Why is this important for advocates and employment? Because every job application, every interview, every piece of marketing, and most of our social interactions are actually about the stories that connect us.
